Our food pantry is open to the community on the 1st & 3rd Friday and the following Saturday each month. Patrons need to be residents of Montgomery County in an MISD Zip code
The pantry is staffed by volunteers and is open 9:00-11:00 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
We are operating under the Hygiene Guidelines given by the Montgomery County Food Bank.
Volunteer applications can be returned by email to foodpantry@mumctex.org or in person on each 1st and 3rd Friday/Saturday during our scheduled monthly distributions. Once the application is received and a board member has reviewed the application and discussed the volunteer policy with you, a criminal background check will be issued to our Senior Pastor and SPRC chair for volunteers 18 and older. A member of the Food Pantry board will be in contact with you regarding future volunteer opportunities. Thank you for your interest in helping our mission serve the community.
Located in our Outreach Building, the Children’s Clothes Closet is a resource that offers a range of gently used high-quality children’s clothing, as well as newly donated clothing items, to support the children within the Montgomery Independent School District (MISD) schools and the wider Montgomery community. The initiative aims to provide essential clothing items to children in need, ensuring they have access to suitable attire for their daily lives.
The Children’s Clothes Closet operates in conjunction with the first Saturday Food Pantry each month, creating a comprehensive support system for families in the area. It is open from 9:00 am to 10:30 am on these designated Saturdays, providing a convenient opportunity for families to access the resources.
Donations to the clothes closet are gratefully accepted on the porch of the outreach building, allowing community members to contribute to this meaningful cause. The focus is specifically on children's clothing, spanning from sizes suitable for newborns through size 16, ensuring that a wide range of age groups are catered to. This inclusive approach aims to address the diverse needs of children within the community, fostering a sense of support and inclusivity for families facing financial challenges.
