MUG Confirmation 2026

We are so excited that your youth is considering confirmation!!! This is a wonderful time in a person's life where they get a chance to really claim their faith as their own and begin to step into the life that God's has in store for them! We want to thank you for allowing MUMC the opportunity to walk alongside your youth in this season.

This year's confirmation class will run March 8th, 2026, until May 24th, 2026, it will consist of church attendance and class sessions Sunday afternoons through the spring semester. Confirmation Sunday will be planned for May 24th, 2026!!!

Each Week, we will meet in the Main Youth Room from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm

***To be eligible for Confirmation, you must attend at least 7 out of 9 classes***

***Confirmands will also be required to attend 7 out of the 9 church worship services during this time***

***Week 9 is mandatory May 17th as we will have rehearsal of the confirmation ceremony***

Also, an exciting thing we are planning to offer this year's confirmation class is a chance to connect with a synagogue and have time to talk with Rabbi Edwin Goldberg of Congregation Beth Shalom of The Woodlands. The goal of this outing is to give our confirmands the chance to learn about the Jewish nature of Jesus and maybe get a glimpse into a broader religious education and the world around them. You will find information about this in the follow up email after you sign-up!

This year, confirmands will also be invited to attend TAC Confirmand Day 2026 on February 28th at Memorial Drive UMC. This will be a great time of fellowship for many youths who are going through going through confirmation in 2026 from across the Texas Annual Conference.
